We get asked many questions from customers buying online. We have tried to put together the most frequent to alleviate any concerns you have while making a purchase from Celticgiftshop. How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed by clicking on a product and entering some options such as ring size and gold colour. The product can then be added to cart and you can continue browsing or go straight to checkout. You will see this symbol when you have added an item to the cart. Simply click checkout and fill in the contact and address fields so we can ship item to you. You then confirm the order and will be brought to our payment gateway.
How do I pay and how do I know it is secure?
This is a common question. We only do payment through. The reason for this is that it is the most secure method of payment online and it protects not only the buyer but also us the seller. The payment is made through the PayPal gateway and you will need to have a PayPal account set up. This is very easy to do and may take a few days for confirmation of a new account before you can purchase. Our experience shows that payment with credit cards can be blocked by Visa in different countries and this way it makes it a seamless purchase. What credit cards do you accept?
Payment through PayPal accepts any credit card that you have. When you are checking out you will see this screen which will allow you to pay with an existing PayPal account or the option to pay by credit card.
How do I know that the jewelry is real gold or silver?
Every item sold on Celticgiftshop has the Irish Assay Quality mark. This guarantees that whatever you buy will be stamped by The Irish Assay Office and will contain the specified gold or silver content. Everything is manufactured and must by law go through this process. We do not import any products from outside Ireland. See also the Celticgiftshop guarantee. We are the real deal.
Do I have to pay Duty and Taxes and if so how much are they?
All items sold contain the Irish VAT charged in the price. The price you see is what you pay. We do not do offer the tax free shopping form for people returning from outside the EU.
How long will my order take?
Most wedding bands require 2 - 3 weeks manufacturing time, as they are all hand made to order by our goldsmiths. We do stock some silver products and we will let you know straight away if we can dispatch your order earlier, but generally all orders will take 10-15 business days.
How will my parcel be shipped and will it be secure?
Items are shipped by Federal Express world-wide as we have found it to be the fastest and most secure method of delivery. We have shipped many orders around the world since we began selling online and with secure packaging and a strong business relationship with FedEx it virtually guarantees a safe delivery.
We can drop ship your item, that is if you are in another country and want to send a present to someone we can drop ship it to any address you like. If you have any questions regarding shipping please contact us and we will answer them. We will do our utmost to accommodate your requests.
What will I be charged for shipping?
The following shipping charges currently apply
US / Canada: For orders under US$100 - US$30, over US$100 - FREE
UK: For orders under GB£70 - GB£20, over GB£70 - FREE
EU: For orders under EU€70 - EU€25.00, over EU€70 - FREE
How long will it take to get to me once shipped?
Once we despatch your order we will inform you by email with the tracking number.
The delivery times from the moment of despatch are as follows:
USA / UK - FedEx - 1 to 2 working days
Alaska / Hawaii - FedEx - 2 - 3 working days
Canada - FedEx - 2 working days
Europe - FedEx - 2 working days
Australia / New Zealand - FedEx - 3 to 4 working days
Ireland - 1 to 2 working days by registered post.
Can I track my Order?
Yes. Once you received your FedEx tracking number you can track on the home page at the bottom or you can track here.
What if I don't like the ring or jewellery item when I get it?
We can honestly say that this has never happened! However we have a 30-day returns policy. In this event we will issue you with a refund but will charge a restocking fee of 15% of the cost. We will also not be liable for any return shipping. If however in the unlikely event that we have caused an error in some way we will of course refund the full amount.
